Begining of Chapter One: Amera

the flames embodied that of a person. Their face was obscured by the bright orange and red licks of color that now made up their outline. They impeached upon her space. Cornering her to the point, she could feel the smoldering heat of their presence. The sickening stench of burnt flesh. Their arms outstretched, hands cupping around her throat. Amera could feel it. The flesh around their fingers was like hot candle wax dripping onto her shoulder, where it seared and boiled. The breath in her lungs gurgled and sparse as they began to squeeze.

“You should be the one dead. not me”
